The
wastewater project and treatment plant upgrade included constructing of two new
sewage pumping stations, gravity sewers and two force mains.
The project also included expanding the existing Sheikh Radwan storm water
retention reservoir and storm water culverts.
Additions were made to the
treatment plant to increase the capacity from the 12,000 CMD to 32,000 CMD
average daily flow.
Saqqa
and Khoudary Co. ltd. (SAK) was a subcontractor for Bill Harbert International
Construction, Inc. (BHIC) .
The
project included civil and electromechanical works that included but not limited
to the followings:

Inlet and overflow structure.

Concrete works for Aerobic Pond.

Concrete works for the Bio-Tower feed pump station.

Supply and install ductile iron pipes and fittings.

Supply and install PVC pipes.

Supply and install 8 floating surface aerators.

Supply and install check valves and gate valves.
-
Supply and install sluice gates and prefabricated weir gates.

Supply and install two rotary distributors.
-
Supply and install diesel centrifugal pumps.

Supply and install submersible lift out pumps.
-
Supply and install Bio-Towers plastic media.
